It is important to protect your new loved one as soon as they come home:

Physical exams are performed at 8, 12 & 16 weeks with the appropriate vaccinations given to combat the diseases that your pet will encounter during their first year of life. Even if a 6-week vaccination has been given to your pet already, it is important to vaccinate at 8 weeks, so that they are fully protected once their maternal immunity wears off.

We use the most up-to-date vaccines in all our boosters. This is especially important for puppies, that require protection against a new strain of Parvovirus that has emerged recently.

Included in the cost of your initial examination is a fecal exam and subsequent deworming to prevent illness and the possible spread to other members of the household. Your puppy or kitten will also receive a free bag of Royal Canin Development food, our recommended food to start them off on their road to wellness.

Diets will be recommended that allow your pet to grow and develop to their maximum potential.

Since pet overpopulation is a growing concern in our society, spaying and neutering is commonly recommended at 6 months of age. We will discuss these options at the 16-week appointment and provide price estimates for the upcoming spay or neuter, so you will know exactly what to expect ... at the Cornell Animal Hospital, we believe in complete transparency with no hidden costs!
